Bob Thompson has been building fine crafted acoustic guitars out of West Virginia since 1974. Loved by many players for the creative and intuitive design, Thompson guitar’s have all the fine appointments of high end boutique and legendary brands, with the feel and heart of a guitar built by one man in his shop. Since Bob’s first creations, his son, Larry, has joined him in making some of his own. Bob and Larry have continued this tradition of making beautiful handcrafted guitars since.
This 000 sports African Blackwood back and sides and a Gorgeous West Virginia, Torrified, Red Spruce top. Together they create a distinct and clear low end with a chipper high pronunciation. This 000 is as wide as a 00 at the lower bout, but has a longer body to make up for the loss in space. Curly Maple binding and Herringbone inlays for gorgeous detail. 1 3/4” compensated bone nut for perfect intonation with a bone saddle and pins. The bolt-on neck also features a semi gloss finish for easier playability across the neck. This guitar is well pronounced in tone for it’s size and produces more low end than you would expect. Fun and easy to play, sure to satisfy. Comes with a HSC.
